The rivers Tyne & Esk flow through the two Scottish counties of East Lothian and Midlothian respectively. The varied landscapes and histories of the two counties give them contrasting characteristics, but there are close links between them.
Tyne & Esk Writers, supported by the two Library authories, is an example of a working partnership which benefits both communities, and delivers programmes, services and support throughout the region to a greater degree than either could provide independently.
On this site you will find a directory of the groups and other information.
We hope that writers will want to come along to group meetings, where they will be made most welcome. If you can't manage along however, you can contribute and receive feedback through this website. It's our intention that the site will be developed by its members as a virtual community of writers in East Lothian and Midlothian, and as a bridge between writers and readers.
